Heard somebody say one time, “if you’re bummed it’s Monday, you’re not doing it right.”
I can’t agree more. That’s why I like Monday’s because new week, new day, start again. The beginning of the day is the best part for me, and not because I am one of those happy all the time people. My reason is a little more negative than you might think.
See at the end of the day that little inner voice likes to start up and talk about all the things I didn’t get done and where I could have been better laying out my day and prioritizing. You know the real nitpicky stuff that only Wonder Woman could have got done.

Monday’s are the start to a new week, new day, begin again.
At the beginning of each morning, the day is new and clean, unused and shiny, right out of the box just waiting for me to begin again. I have everything I need and the energy to get it done.
A new day has all the potential in the world to be the best day of your life. For you to win on everything, to bring in 1000 new customers, to become every thing you ever dreamed about becoming in your life. Pretty much take over the world kind of tasks, I mean, whoever said Rome wasn’t built in a day is obviously lying. Right?!
Well I am beginning to think that mindset is not all that healthy and maybe, I don’t know, I should start being nicer to myself. But who really knows what’s best, really.
So I am going to try harder to be more of a cheerleader at the end of the day, while also keeping my plans to rule the world in the morning on task and see how that works out.
But if you are having a hard time with your mornings or your Monday’s, think of it this way:
It’s like being Mario
A new week or a new day is just like getting a 1UP, you know getting that extra life means you get to start again.
And you don’t just begin again, but you begin again as Super Mario with Fire Power.

So if you are ever having a bad start to your day or go into work bummed it’s Monday again, just remember you are Mario with full power, ready to blast those Goomba mushroom-looking devils, slay Bowser by 5 PM, and call it a day!
